Galena is a a unique mineral that is both brittle and very heavy. 

These natural pieces of galena measure approximately 1" and highlight the unique geometric form of galena. Galena is a relatively soft mineral, rated between 2.5 and 3 on the Mohs hardness scale. 

Galena, also called lead glance, is the natural mineral form of lead sulfide. Galena is the most important ore of lead and source of silver while being the most widely distributed sulfide minerals. Galena metaphysically is referred to as a grounding stone while also thought to open emotional blocks and alleviate depression symptoms. Galena is associated with the root chakra.
